Zach Henderson

Zach Henderson is the Director for the Saddleback Stags Lacrosse Club. He began coaching lacrosse in 2011, after graduating from Aliso Niguel High School in 2010. He was an original member of the first lacrosse team at Aliso Niguel, playing all 4 years for the Wolverines. Since 2011, Zach has always coached at his alma mater, rising up through the coaching ranks of JVB, JVA, Varsity Assistant Coach, and is now the Varsity Head Coach. He enters his 5th year as Aliso Niguel’s Head Varsity Coach, and has the program as a top-10 CIF Division 2 team, and for the second year in a row, a CIF Division 2 contender.

Coach zach grew up playing ice hockey as his primary sport. He played competitively for 20 years and traveled all across the country playing. Upon graduating high school, he moved to Bozeman, Montana, where he played 2 years of Junior hockey. Once his Junior career was finished, he attended California State University, Fullerton. Zach played for the ACHA hockey team at Fullerton and helped the team climb as high as #6 in the regional rankings. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an added concentration in Teacher Education. He completed his Teaching Credential Program in 2017 and began his teaching career at Aliso Niguel High School as a Physical Education teacher. While teaching in his first two years, he completed and received a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. He enters his 4th year teaching at the school, where he has also taken over the Head Coach position of the Freshmen football team.

coach Zach hopes that the creation of the Saddleback Stags Lacrosse Club will contribute to the growth of lacrosse in the Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, and Saddleback areas. As athletes grow up playing lacrosse, they enter the high school ranks with more experience and can shake up the lacrosse landscape in Southern California and Orange County.
