HERD MENTALITY

MISSION STATEMENT:

Our mission is to build and provide a structured community for our student-athletes (k-8th Grade) to develop humility, integrity, and respect of the sport and life that will assist them in reaching their academic and personal potential. The Saddleback Stags Lacrosse Club is built through the foundation of coaches who believe that investing in the person before the player is the priority.

Our vision and motto of a “Herd Mentality” sees success through a community and family-oriented program. The herd protects each other at all costs, and with one common goal, will make sure that each individual is setup for success before themselves.

The coaching staff all grew up playing the sport of lacrosse, and they want to give back to the game and see the sport flourish in the local area. We will have fun playing hard, fast, and intentional in every aspect of the sport, as it was intended to be played. We are in the business of developing young men to become great teammates, students, friends, sons, uncles, fathers, and most importantly fantastic people. The boys will be exposed to challenging situations that will make them become more comfortable being uncomfortable. We will have them rely on the coaching staff, their teammates, and themselves to achieve common goals.

The Saddleback Stags Lacrosse Cub consists of dedicated coaches who have the understanding to coach the proper fundamentals of the game and the desire to instill winning mentalities in young and advanced players. As lacrosse is still relatively new in the South Orange County area (Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, etc.), our coaching staff is aimed to develop the athletes into students of the sport. While the lacrosse development will occur on the field, it is the personal development off the field that the coaching staff will be primarily focused on. Teaching the young athletes important life skills and techniques to make them successful in life is held in high regard by the staff. The coaching staff has extensive knowledge and experience to help put these athletes and small towns on the map!
